Homedics Premium Neck and Back Massage Cushion

Throughout my tenure at Shape Products, one of our core clients was Homedics, and health and wellness brand based out of Michigan. I designed many massage cushions for their line, but the MCS-1005HJ was the high end model for the year, offering the best massage for the user’s back and neck, on-board charging cable, removeable massage dampener, and a brand new restyled remote, whose design language would be adopted by the rest of the line in years to come. Working with a factory mechanism, the cushion frame is designed to provide support to the user’s body for the most comfortable massage experience possible short of buying a $5000 full size massage chair. The lower mechanism traverses up and down the back, loosening knots in muscles for a relaxing experience, while the neck mechanism gently massages sore neck muscles. The materials for the cushion are designed to not only compliment annual color trends in the home, but look premium as well with textures, stitching and metallic accents. This was one of the best performing massage products for Homedics for multiple years and their extremely positive online reviews confirm just that.
